The color of something that cannot be contained. Chanel knew this when creating BLEU. A fragrance that refuses to be confined to a single note, a single mood, or a single moment. It possesses a sense of masculinity while also being fluid. It is classic yet restless. Now, it’s broken.
We picked up a 100% authentic second-hand CHANEL BLEU bracelet – its iconic cobalt-colored glass shimmering with the weight of French luxury – and fell deeply in love with it. There was no destruction. It was boundless blue, unleashed.
▎Cobalt glass. Liquid depth.
This is no ordinary glass. The deep, saturated blue of the Chanel perfume bottle is legendary – so dense that it’s almost opaque, yet it glows when light hits the edge of the bottle.
When shattered, this cobalt glass undergoes a transformation. Each fragment becomes a tiny bundle that captures the ocean and refracts light, with hues ranging from midnight navy to electric turquoise.
The letters BLEU·DE·CHANEL appear fragmented within the artwork, like constellations. Incomplete, yes. But for some reason, it feels more complete than before. Details and techniques:
